Because of differences among the thermoplastic types, some of them can be easily welded and others hardly. In the diagram below, black square means good compatibility of the two plastics, and they can be welded by ultrasonic easily; circle means the two plastics can compatible under some circumstances with the acceptable welding performance; space means the compatibility of the two plastics is very bad, they are difficult being welded by ultrasonic.
